What the press in Japan are saying about SEQUIN SUNRISE:
"The long awaited new album Sequin Sunrise, showcases The Spandettes’ individual personalities and the music shines dazzlingly with so much elegance."
(Yuma Totsuka, Mikiki Magazine, Japan)
"[The Spandettes] second album is cheerful and includes lovely original songs with acid jazz influences and good summer vibes. We love their cover of Lemuria's bitter-sweet song, 'All I've Got To Give'."
(Bounce Mag, Japan)
"As the album title suggests, [Sequin Sunrise] represents a new chapter for The Spandettes. The band has achieved dramatic musical growth on this album."
(Yoshiaki Takahashi from Japanese liner notes)
This is an all-day kid friendly FREE event starting at noon with all kinds of fun stuff like pumpkin carving, soap making, a market and Beer drinking! We're playing our first live set since returning from Japan, so don't miss this one.
We're headlining the live music at 6 pm!
There aren't many things we Spandettes love more than coffee, Toronto, and giving back to the community.
Starting at the end of June, we'll be doing a fun local Toronto cafe acoustic series. We're just in the process of setting that all up so please feel free to let us know your favourite cafe and we'll try to make a pitstop on our "mini tour".
We'll be playing with a rotation of band members (we do have an awesome 10 piece band after all!) as well as some fun local guests. We may even ask a few of our teenage vocal students to come sing a song to help them feel connected to the local music community.
Hit us up and tell us your favourite cafe! firstname.lastname@example.org
